Patricia Rothman Dream Baby & Kids has five exquisite crib bedding designs and we are happy to announce their arrival at The Frog and The Princess!

This company is unique in that this team of two moms made an extraordinary effort to create a line of baby bedding and accessories that is practical, luxurious and meaningful.

From the designers:

"With a strict code of ethics we searched the world for a mill to produce our fine fabric that would adhere to our beliefs: workers that were provided with health and dental benefits and had cultural and social activities sponsored by their employer, their children had access to the same services and schooling. Basically we wanted the people that produced our products to be happy (happy people make happy products!!!), and we wanted to make sure that they were respected.

But that was not enough! That special mill had to care about ecology, their waste had to be treated and their environmental impact minimal. And they had to be able to grow and produce their own unbleached cottons, and produce only the finest cotton, with the softest touch.
That search was quite an endeavor, but well worth it!"

Pretty New Stroller Blankets

Pretty new stroller blankets and coordinating accessories are being added to our shop today and tomorrow.  My favorite is the spotted owl pattern shown above. 

The stroller blankets are the perfect size to bundle an infant or to lay baby on and will be a great security blanket for a toddler! It will also fold up nicely for the diaper bag or tuck neatly into the carseat or stroller. It is not overly large, just the right size!

Measurements: Each blankie measures approximately 30" x 23".

Machine washable!

We are so proud to introduce Snow Fairy Lane lighting to our customers.
  Designed by Pam Snow, each shade is meticulously designed and custom made in the USA.
Colors are carefully selected to coordinate with a variety of popular pieces of wall art and bedding lines.  The combination of three different fabrics and designer trim makes decorating a snap!
Shade and lamp are included and take a 40-60 watt light bulb.

JJ Cole Essentials Blanket

This past weekend my husband and I met up with family down at the beach.  We are a family of five, so I have enough towels, bathing suits and clothing to wash when we get home, so I was looking for something other than our beach blankets to bring.  Last minute I grabbed the JJ Cole blanket and I am so happy that I did, it was awesome! 

All of the other moms with us and even strangers on the beach asked me about it.  It folds up into a pocket book sized shape, and has a shoulder strap that was comfortable and best of all......it was one less thing in my hands. 

Open it up and it easily fit two adults, and room for the kids.  The sand just brushed right off it and the best part was when we were ready to leave, it is so lightweight, that you just give it a shake and fold it right back up.

As a mother of two boys and a girl, sometimes I get a little frustrated when shopping for them.  My daughter has so many options to choose from, whether it is clothing, bedding or decor, and my sons......well.....it is tough sometimes.  When we opened The Frog and The Princess, it was one of our goals to provide adorable and durable choices for boys.
While we can not offer your little man a darling glitter mermaid costume....we can certainly help to make his room a comfortable stylish place that is not covered in the latest tv character that he will quickly tire of.   If your sons are like mine, you have been through all the phases...Thomas the Tank Engine, Power Rangers, Spiderman, Transformers...I could go on and on. 
I think it is great to accent the room with removable wall stickers if he must have the characters in his bedroom.  They are easily removable and reusable, and best of all you do not have to repaint!
When decorating his room, start with a underling theme that will carry through for several years, trains, sports, horses or just choose a classic pattern that you can mix and match decor pieces with.
